Red Masked Parakeets
The red masked parakeets of Telegraph Hill. Made famous by the Mark Bittner movie “Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill” these tropical birds have made San Francisco their home and they are doing pretty well thank you. The neighbors can attest to the survival of the species by the fact that they are awaken early in the pre dawn hours by the amazingly loud noise they make.
